The RETOUR project aimed to develop and establish therapeutic tourism in Thessaly. The target group of patients included people with cardio-metabolic diseases, with musculoskeletal disorders and renal patients and aimed to attract people from Greece and the wider Mediterranean area. In more detail, the project aimed to 1) develop an e-tourism platform that would be user friendly and effectively accommodate the project requirements, 2) develop exercise programs specific for the needs of each group of patients that would improve their physical condition, and 3) organise and provide service certification of third parties (i.e. hotels, restaurants, taxi, haemodialysis clinics e.t.c.). FAME Lab was a partner in this programme which ran from 01/01/2011 up to 31/12/2015.
